Good way to prepare your art experience.
Before your course begins it is wise to prime yourself. It will be a new experience and the beginning of an outstanding memory. Best way to prepare is to be open, curious, and adventurous. It is about trying something new allowing new methods and ideas.
It can be helpful to remember how it felt when you have been creating the last time. There is always a point that made you feel happy about creativity. Focussing on what has worked for you in the last creative process will make it easier to enjoy your new artistic adventure. Even when you feel unsure about your outcome, remember that the end products are not always the point. It is the job of your tutor or guide to take care of achieving your outcome BUT you own it to yourself to enjoy your creativity as much as you can during the way there. Take advantage of the possibility to recreate a good time with art. The better you can communicate your expectations to your guide the closer he or she can bring you to your expectations.
After finishing the workshop take care to make more out of it. Take time to process your experience and make some notes about it. When you arrive back home reread them. With your new skills, you can expand on them and explore them more deeply. You are about to enter a new world of creative and artistic skills and possibilities the best way to make them a part of your life is to give yourself time for reflection and consolidation.
